Maligaon, 4th June 2010: An unique exhibition train named “Sanskriti - Yatra” Express built by Indian Railways in the memory of Bishwakabi Rabindra Nath Tagore on his 150th birth anniversary is arriving Mariani tomorrow i.e. on 5th June 2010. This exhibition special train consists of five coaches decorated with exhibits on different aspects on the life and personality of Kabiguru. The exhibition train will be placed at Marianai station and will be open for all from 8.00 am to 08.00 pm for three days i.e. from 5th June to 7th June 2010. The entry to this exhibition train is free.
It is to be mentioned that this five-coach exhibition train has been decorated in such a manner to exhibits the life and personality of Kabiguru as writer, poet, philosopher, and teacher. The 1st coach has been decorated with life and times of Tagoree with his reminiscence, photographs and about Shantiniketan and Sriniketan. In addition, briefs on his ancestors have been depicted. This coach has been named as “Jiban Smriti”
The name of the second coach has been kept “Gitanjali” echoing his world famous writing that won him the Nobel prize. It has been decorated with poems and songs written by Kabiguru. In the third coach, his short stories, novel, drama, prose, essays etc have been described and accordingly the name of the coach has been kept as “Muktadhara”.
The name of the fourth coach has been kept as “Chiltralekha” in which it has been tried to incorporate the various works of Kabiguru on his paintings with description on paintings from his childhood and teenage, portraits, natural skills, landscapes, sketches etc.Some paintings by other famous renowned artists like Nandalal Bose, Abanindranath Tagore, Gaganedranath Tagore, Binod Behari have also been kept.
The name of the fifth coach has been kept as “Sesh Katha” in which the photographs of Tagore’s last journey and the last days of his life as described by his near and dear ones have been displayed. Poems written during his last days were also displayed.
All sections of people are requested to visit the exhibition train to have look on the life of Vishwakabi Rabindranath Tagore and pay homage to him.
